Bio

Hailing from Trinidad and Tobago, Caleigh has worked in the writer’s room for Diggstown produced by Circle Blue Media and a development project produced by Hungry Eyes. She has also written a feature film script named Paralysis for Conquering Lion Productions. Lastly, Caleigh is developing a show with Project 10.

Caleigh started developing as a writer in university when she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications and Journalism followed by a Master’s Degree in the same concentration. As a part of her graduate project. She wrote 100 pages of the fantasy novel to investigate whether or not she could build a following for it while periodically publishing pages in small increments, essentially growing a fan base before the novel was completed.

After graduation, she moved on to a career in marketing where she engaged in sales and marketing writing. She wrote blogs, articles, press releases and website content for a range of industries in a variety of topics.

Caleigh now resides in Toronto where she recently graduated valedictorian of the screenwriting program from the Toronto Film School (TFS). She has completed a feature film script, Mama which was a semi-finalist in the 2018 ScreenCraft Sci-Fi Fantasy Screenwriting Competition and in the top 15% of the Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting competition that accepted over 6,800 entries.

Caleigh enjoys diving into new worlds looking for adventure. She writes all genres but enjoys fantasy and comedy best. She has worked in writer’s rooms for both comedy and drama and has written a horror feature film. She is excited to see where she can go next and looks forward to working with you.
