Bio

As an immigrant from Taiwan, over the past 8 years I have demonstrated a resilience to drastic environmental and circumstantial changes, that included overcoming early challenges of adapting towards a cultural and linguistic shift from Mandarin to English during the first semester of high school, a curricular and duty shift from school to part-time jobs. All of which culminated in the reception of an Honours Bachelor degree from University of Toronto in June 2019.

During the pandemic, I went back to my home country in search to accumulate practical content creation experience and videography, therefore joining a YouTube channel as an in-house videographer/producer. It was a role that encompassed a huge range of roles, including script writing, picture editing, assisting picture editing, social media content managing and most notably videography.

Even with little resource and budget, over the course of the year, my contribution to the team led the channel to accumulated over 100 thousand subscribers from 40 thousand when I first joined. My biggest accomplishment however was producing a video that went past one-million views within a year

I am now attending the Advanced TV and Film Program from Sheridan College specializing in Camera, and I am excited to bring my enthusiasm and dedication to the set, I have much to learn but I will make sure to learn and adopt with speed and precision.

Intro

I am a bilingual film student motivated to secure an internship in the camera department. I am a dedicated, energetic and intuitive learner who has excelled in Camera Operating and Camera Assistant positions in Sheridan’s ATVF student film projects. Thus, over the past 7 months I have gained experience handling lighting and grip equipments safely, follow safety protocol rigorously and executing lighting plan with speed and precision.
