Bio
Adam Hussein was born in Edmonton, Alberta. Throughout his life, Adam always loved to write. However, Adam’s high school days were filled with way too many episodes of The Practice, which mistakenly led him to pursue a career as a lawyer.
Adam went to law school in Southern California and practiced law there, slowly learning along the way that it was the story-telling aspect of The Practice that appealed to him more than the law, a time-consuming and expensive lesson to be sure.
Adam finally left behind his career as a lawyer and moved back to Canada to attend the screenwriting program at Vancouver Film School. Since graduating, Adam has written two television movies, which aired on Lifetime in the United States. He was a participant in the 2019 Praxis/Whistler Film Festival Screenwriters Lab and is a participant in the Pacific Screenwriting Program’s Scripted Series Lab for 2020 under showrunner Robert Cooper.
When he’s able to pull himself away from writing, Adam spends his time crying through games of his almost always awful favorite hockey team, the Edmonton Oilers.
