Bio
Hani Taha is an award-winning filmmaker who’s worked for the BBC, Al Jazeera, Vice News and Pakistan’s two-time Academy Award winning documentarian Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s SOC Films. She’s best known for her balanced and engaging reporting on the sensational and complicated murder investigations of two of Pakistan’s most high profile honor killing cases in her critically acclaimed films ‘The Kohistan Story’ and ‘The Killing of Qandeel’.
Apart from her documentary work, Hani has also been involved in the new wave of feminist storytelling as a thespian and filmmaker trying to create more socially conscious plays and movies in Pakistan as an actor and producer.
