Bio

Henry Amharai is a Toronto based Eritrean-Canadian Writer/Director. A Ryerson University Film alumni, Henry has also studied sketch comedy writing at The Second City Training Centre and is a recent graduate of the CBC sponsored Millennial X program. Presently, he is Owner and Operator of Lost People Pictures, a production company producing both commercial and narrative short films. Henry’s second short film, a mock-thriller entitled, “Tales From the Mandem,” was very well received by audiences and was selected for the 2022 BIPOC Film Festival. It was publicly released on Youtube in 2023 and currently has 2.2K views and counting, garnering rave reviews by viewers and commenters. Most recently, Henry acted as a Writer on Realm 2, a Bell Fibe TV series set to be released in early 2021. Currently he’s writing, “Meron,” a coming of age dramedy, which he hopes to turn into a series for TV and streaming.
